Head of the Schuylkill - PA

Hosted by Head of The Schuylkill Regatta

Competitors in the 2023 Head of the Schuylkill Regatta® continue a tradition of exceptional fall racing that began more than five decades ago. While the expansive scope of the two-day Regatta today bears little resemblance to its 1970 roots, the spirit of the Regatta endures: a fall race showcasing high-caliber crews as well as those new to the sport. An estimated 180 competitors participated in the first race. In a typical year now, more than 8,000 athletes cross the finish line of the 2.5-mile scenic course.

Head of the Charles - SURVIVOR ROW

Since 1965, the Head of the Charles Regatta has brought thousands of rowers to the Charles River to compete in the world's largest 3-day regatta! This year, more than 11,000 rowers from around the globe will compete in the 2024 Head of the Charles Regatta from October 18-20, 2024.

On Saturday October 19 we made history at the world's largest, most prestigious and most grueling regatta, considered the Super Bowl of Rowing - the Head of the Charles in Boston - with 99 survivors competing in the inaugural HOCR SURVIVOR ROW. 10s of thousands of spectators lined the river cheering on the 11 boats from the U.S., France and Italy. This was our 5th and final SURVIVOR ROW of the season - we went out with a bang!

Howard M. Smith Diamond State Masters - SURVIVOR ROW

The First Diamond State Regatta (DSMR) was held August 4th, 1991. Approximately three hundred rowers competed in thirty five events. The actual length of the course, determined by the distance between the starting platforms and Rodney Point across from the campus, measured 1073 meters. Nobody seemed to mind the extra 73 meters.

By 2006, the Regatta had swelled to almost one hundred heats all held on a busy Sunday from 8:15 am to 6 pm. Over one thousand rowers representing over fifty rowing organizations participated. The regatta has since moved to a more relaxed two-day event, hosted by the Wilmington Rowing Center.

Many thanks to WRC for supporting SRN’s 3rd SUVIVOR ROW of 2024.

Rockland Masters Regatta - SURVIVOR ROW

On Saturday of June 15, 2024 Rockland Rowing Association hosted our second annual Masters Regatta. With traditional 1000m sprints, one-of-a-kind relay racing (Rockland Relays), and a beer garden, it’s always good time!

Our professionally designed and installed course offers 10 buoyed lanes with stake boats.

  • The course is surrounded by beautiful Rockland Lake State Park.

  • We will run all the events that were traditionally held at the Derby Sweeps & Sculls in prior years.

  • Rockland Relays! In addition to the traditional age-based flights in all boat classes, we staged our second annual Rockland Relays in the afternoon where teams consisting of 2x, 4+, 4x, and 8+ must compete 500m sprints in relay fashion.

  • Thank you Rockland Rowing Association for supporting SRN’s 2nd SURVIVOR ROW of 2024
